From moving every few years to being deployed all over the world, military life can present unique challenges for those who are serving and their families. Military Connect is a new ministry at Fairhaven Church designed to help meet the distinct needs of military members and their families.
“Because of the fast-paced transitional lifestyle of most military members, we want to provide a way for them to get connected quickly and establish meaningful relationships with other military families,” said Ohio National Guard 1st Lt. Paul Seabold, Fairhaven Church Pastoral Resident. “We also want to come alongside families who are dealing with a deployment or other challenges associated with military life.”
Military Connect is open to all active duty, retired, reserve, guard and other former military members and their families. The group offers community and networking events, Bible studies, and family outings, in addition to support for both the deployed service members and their families.
Beginning in September, the group will meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at Fairhaven Church’s Centerville Campus.
