“Parents Night Out” planned for January 27

Boy with special needs.

Posted: January 12, 2017

Studies show that an important part of a healthy family is taking time for your marriage. Date nights are an easy way to get quality time together, but finding a babysitter can be a challenge. It can be even more challenging if you have a child with special needs.

To help support parents of children with special needs, Fairhaven Church is holding a Parents Night Out on January 27 at their Centerville Campus. Parents are invited to drop off their special needs children and their siblings (grades K-5) to enjoy food, movies, games, crafts, a bounce house and more. “We want parents to enjoy an evening out together, knowing that their children are in a fun and safe environment,” says Marcia Griffin, Special Needs Ministry Leader. Children with special needs are also provided a buddy for the evening.

Cost is $5 per child. Registration is required at fairhavenchurch.org. Additional Parents Night Out events will be held on February 24, March 17, April 28 and May 26.
