Health and safety protocols for Sunday morning kids ministry

We're committed to providing a worship environment keeping the guidelines of the Ohio Department of Health in mind. In order to do this well, we are asking our Serve Team Members and all our families to follow a few extra guidelines. These guidelines are subject to change without notification based on updates from the Ohio Department of Health.

Additionally, we created some helpful videos to show you what to expect as you bring your kids back to your campus on Sunday. Check them out!

Serve Team Members

Our dedicated Serve Team Members will:

• Complete a health screening prior to arriving on campus and be free of fever, cough, runny nose, headache and sore throat
• Wear a mask/cloth face covering
• Wash hands upon entering the campus and frequently thereafter
• Limit physical touch whenever possible
• Maintain physical distancing
• Be flexible and show grace toward others

Check-in + Pick-up

• At check-in, you will acknowledge that you completed a health screening of your child, including taking their temperature, and that they are free of flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, runny nose, headache, sore throat, etc.)
• One person will man the check-in station and print tags for each family as they arrive
• We will clean the kiosk with a disinfectant wipe each time a new serve team member mans the check-in station
• To promote social distancing, only one parent per family may be in the kids areas for drop-off and pick-up
• Kids will be dismissed at the door of their classroom (nursery/preschool) or from their small group (elementary)
• Tape lines will be in place to encourage social distancing and encourage traffic flow

Classrooms, Small Groups, Worship Experiences

To promote health and safety, we will:

• Ensure kids wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the rooms, and as needed throughout the morning
• Build in hand-washing/sanitizing into our lesson plans
• Encourage physical distancing between kids
• Promote a loving and fun environment while adhering to safety guidelines

At the end of each worship service, we will:

• Clean all toys put in a child’s mouth immediately
• Wipe down all large toys with disinfectant (slides, walkers, air hockey pucks, etc.)
• Wipe down all stroller handles and trays with disinfectant
• Spray all used toys with Lysol (or like product) and leave set 15 minutes before putting toys back in bins
• Wipe down tables, chairs, doorknobs, countertops, faucets, etc.
• Clean windows as needed
• Rotate toys that have been used to allow for clean toys to be available each service

Centerville Campus only

There will be no access to the submarine slide, the downstairs tree slide, or the children's play area.
