To help us maintain a “faith over fear” mindset during the COVID-19 outbreak, here are 20 ways you can pray during this time of uncertainty. Even if we can’t meet together, we can still pray together.

  1. Pray that God will motivate all of us to use our freedom in Christ to willingly submit to the things our leaders and healthcare professionals recommend for us.
  2. Pray for our healthcare professionals, government leaders and civil servants who are critical to our response and need to remain healthy during this crisis.
  3. Ask God to arrest the spread of this virus.
  4. Pray for those who have no hope and no assurance, that in these days of uncertainty they would seek out the God of salvation.
  5. Ask God that Christians and the Church would clearly and powerfully share the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
  6. Pray that our response as a church and as Christ-followers will draw searching hearts to Jesus our Hope.
  7. Ask God to give us practical ways to choose Faith Over Fear.
  8. Rejoice in the Gospel, the Hope, the promises, and the peace that we have in Jesus.
  9. Thank Jesus for the peace that comes with faith.
  10. Pray for those who feel lost and alone, that they would reach out to Jesus today, in this moment.
  11. Rejoice that the Holy Spirit is our protector and our Paraclete.
  12. Pray that God will give us wisdom so that we can allow God’s peace to be the absolute pattern for our lives.
  13. Pray that God will lead us to those who are open, searching and ready to be pointed to Jesus.
  14. Ask God to remind us of his Word and his promises.
  15. Pray that we have teachable hearts to learn the lessons that God has for us in this situation.
  16. Ask God to show you how he wants you to, “Rise up. Let us go from here.” (John 14)
  17. Pray that our lives look like the dock that David described, floating with calm, safe and secure, on the surface of this uncertainty.
  18. Ask God to help you to experience his supernatural peace.
  19. Worship God for his peace, which passes understanding and cannot be found in anything besides Jesus.
  20. Rejoice that the words, “Fear not,” are given to us 365 time in the Bible, enough times that we can hear it every day of the year.
