For over a decade, our church family’s generosity has helped provide Christmas toys and gifts for children in our community. This year, we’re excited to continue that tradition through our partnerships with Hope4 Centerville and Hope4 Kettering, allowing us to reach even more families.
Together with other local churches, we’re expanding the Christmas Store and extending shopping hours to serve more families. Each child will receive three Christmas gifts, a jacket, socks, underwear, and a family Bible. The store will be open Dec. 1–5 and Dec. 8–12.
Each participating church and organization is contributing in different ways, with Fairhaven focusing on providing toys and gifts.
And you can be part of it!You can help make Christmas special for families in our community by purchasing gifts or serving in a variety of meaningful ways.
Purchasing Gifts
To participate, register to purchase gifts. Choose how many $25 gifts you’d like to purchase, then select an age and whether you’d like to shop for a boy or girl. Every gift you choose helps a parent experience the joy of giving something special to their child.
Each year we serve approximately 1,000 children, so every gift you donate makes a big impact on the inventory we can provide at the store.
Purchase new $25 gifts/toys. No used items. Please do not purchase Bibles, as our partners are providing these. Toys and Walmart $25 gifts cards are encouraged.
To make this experience more meaningful, we suggest visiting a local store and purchasing your gifts together with family and friends.

Serving Opportunities
Shop for the Christmas Store
New this year! Join us Friday, Nov. 20, from 5:00–7:00 PM for a fun evening of shopping to help fill the Christmas Store shelves! Sign up with friends, family, or your small group. There’s no cost to you! We’ll provide a shopping list and everything you need to select gifts for local children.
After shopping, you’ll help transport the gifts to the Christmas Store, where we’ll pray over the gifts and families who will shop there, then enjoy a holiday treat together.
Serve at the Christmas Store
Sign up to help set up the store in November or serve during open hours, December 1–5 and December 8–12. There are many opportunities include checking in shoppers, wrapping gifts, assisting shoppers, offering language assistance to shoppers who don’t speak English, providing baked goods for volunteer teams and shoppers, and being on call for snow removal.
Pray
Every shopper will have an opportunity to share a personal prayer request. Click the link below to see those requests and pray specifically for the families walking through the doors. You can help change Christmas for one child, one parent, and one family right here in our community.
