Did you know that a bed can help keep a child out of the foster care system? For a child to receive a kinship placement (relative or someone connected to the family), they must have their own bed.
Our CarePortal Connection Teams help meet these needs by gathering at the Centerville Campus once a month to deliver beds and connect with under-served families in our community. The teams consist of people who deliver and assemble beds and people who talk and pray with the families.
We also bring each family a meal and work to connect them with additional resources like Hannah’s Treasure Chest. So not only are we helping to meet a practical need, but this time of connection gives us an opportunity to invite the families to visit Thrive Together for dinner and classes to help them learn new skills.
