In our journey of faith, “reaching” out to others is a profound way of sharing the transformative hope of Jesus. We invite you to prayerfully identify two people in your life who don’t yet follow Jesus. They may be friends, family members, neighbors, or coworkers.
By lifting them up in prayer and seeking opportunities to invite them to church or share about your faith, you can take steps toward reaching them and helping them find hope.
Once you’ve identified your two people, here are some ways you can pray for them:
1. Pray for open hearts. Ask God to soften their hearts and prepare them to receive the message of Jesus’ hope. Pray for openness to spiritual conversations and awareness of God working in their lives. Ezekiel 36:26, Matthew 13:23
2. Pray for relationship building. Ask God to guide you in building stronger, trust-filled relationships with them. Pray that God will empower you as a source of support, encouragement, and love in their lives. Matthew 5:16, Titus 2:7-8
3. Pray for opportunities to invite and share. Ask God for wisdom and discernment in finding opportunities to have spiritual conversations with them. Pray for the right moments to invite them to church or share about your faith. Ephesians 6:19-20, 1 Peter 3:15
