Pastor, Springboro Campus Pastor
Jared graduated from the University of Arizona and obtained his Masters of Divinity in seminary at Azusa Pacific University in San Diego. He started on staff at Fairhaven in June of 2013 as the Campus Pastor at the new Springboro campus. Jared was a pastor at a church in San Diego for 10 years overseeing Youth & Young Adult Ministries, and then as an Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries/Teaching in Akron. He has a passion for making disciples, outreach to the hurting and needy and “living life” with other believers through fellowship.
Jared has been married to his beautiful wife Jackie for 10 years, and has three energetic boys: Isaiah, Luke and lil Jake. He grew up in Wilmington, Ohio, and loves rooting for Buckeye football and basketball. His hobbies include playing any sport he can find (basketball, tennis, water sports, etc), coaching his son’s youth teams and writing. Mostly though he just enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends.Email
I love the heart and vision of helping people “find hope” no matter where they are in life. I enjoy the passionate worship, teaching of God’s Word and opportunities to grow in genuine relationships with other believers. I am excited to help build God’s kingdom in Springboro and reach the community for Christ, while still being connected to Fairhaven as one church.
I grew up in an amazing Christian home with loving parents who always taught me and encouraged me to follow Jesus. But I was the “Prodigal Son” who went out west and decided to live my life apart from Christ. I soon realized that the world and its desires were only a “counterfeit” to the unconditional grace and enduring truth I could only find in Jesus Christ. Slowly the Lord began to “draw me back to Him”, and at the age of 21 I surrendered my life to Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Three days later I was baptized at Fairhaven, and my spiritual journey began.
I met my amazing wife in college and then moved out to California to pursue a career in advertising. Along the way, I realized I had more passion for ministry than marketing, and the Lord opened a door to full-time pastoral work. The rest is history.
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14
