During our More Than Money series, we shared timeless financial wisdom from the Bible that encourages us to courageously step out in faith to create the space for God to work wonders that extend beyond our finances and have an impact that’s about way more than money. Whether you’re just getting started or you’re a veteran of the 10/10/80 model, we want to encourage you to make the most of the money God has entrusted to you. That’s why we’re introducing the One Percent Challenge.

Here’s how it works. Start by increasing what you currently give and save by just one percent. Do you already save 5% of your income and give 5% of your income over a year? Bump those up to 6%. Maybe you give 10% but only save 3%. Try increasing each number by 1%. Then, gradually build on your progress by adding another percentage point every year.

By taking these gradual, manageable steps to increase your giving and saving one percent at a time, you can soon be at the 10/10/80 model, or even surpass it!
