Residency
The Fairhaven Church Residency Program is a two-year leadership training program designed to provide hands-on experience working with one of our staff teams, personal mentoring and leadership coaching to equip emerging church leaders for a lifetime of impactful ministry.
Our residency program is currently at capacity, and we are not accepting new applications for the remainder of 2024.
Residents will:

Make a 2-year commitment, working approximately 25-30 hours per week

Fully participate in church life and staff; be recognized as Fairhaven staff members

Receive a weekly stipend

Complete graduate studies included in the program from Crown College
-
Receive résumé and networking support during the final six months of the residency
To become a resident, you must ...

Have a bachelor’s degree (any field of study)

Have a clear calling to vocational ministry
-
Adhere to Fairhaven’s Statement of Faith

Have ministry leadership experience
A resident’s experience includes ...
-
Ministry experience – Learn how to lead effectively and completely through significant real-life experience

Leadership coaching – Receive one-on-one mentoring to develop ministry experience

Personal development – Receive one-on-one coaching to ensure personal growth in community and as a follower of Christ

Leadership training – Attend weekly staff meetings and weekly resident meetings to develop leadership skills through established curriculum and real-world scenarios

Evaluations – Meet for quarterly assessment reviews to discuss self and coach evaluations

Graduate studies – Earn a master’s degree from Crown College, with several areas of study to choose from
