Residency

 

The Fairhaven Church Residency Program is a two-year leadership training program designed to provide hands-on experience working with one of our staff teams, personal mentoring and leadership coaching to equip emerging church leaders for a lifetime of impactful ministry.

Residents will:

    • Make a 2-year commitment, working approximately 25-30 hours per week

      • Fully participate in church life and staff; be recognized as Fairhaven staff members

        • Receive a weekly stipend

          • Complete graduate studies included in the program from Crown College

            • Receive résumé and networking support during the final six months of the residency

To become a resident, you must ...

    • Have a bachelor’s degree (any field of study)

      • Have a clear calling to vocational ministry

        • Adhere to Fairhaven’s Statement of Faith

          • Have ministry leadership experience

A resident’s experience includes ...

    • Ministry experience – Learn how to lead effectively and completely through significant real-life experience

      • Leadership coaching – Receive one-on-one mentoring to develop ministry experience

        • Personal development – Receive one-on-one coaching to ensure personal growth in community and as a follower of Christ

          • Leadership training – Attend weekly staff meetings and weekly resident meetings to develop leadership skills through established curriculum and real-world scenarios

            • Evaluations – Meet for quarterly assessment reviews to discuss self and coach evaluations

              • Graduate studies – Earn a master’s degree from Crown College, with several areas of study to choose from
