In every community, there are vulnerable children and families who need help. Through CarePortal, Fairhaven can help meet these needs in real time, providing practical assistance and support to families facing a crisis.

Over the last 12 months, our church family has contributed over $90,000 in monetary and in-kind donations to help families in need. Your generosity means that over 200 children have been able to stay with their families and out of the foster care system!
As we work to improve how we use CarePortal to assist families, we have developed a new process that will allow us to meet even more needs by focusing on collecting beds/bedding and making rent/utility payments.
There are two ways you can help us support families in need in our community. First, you can make a financial contribution to CarePortal by making a one-time or recurring tax-deductible donation through Fairhaven’s Offering of Compassion.
You can also be part of a CarePortal Connection Day. Once a month, we will meet at the Centerville Campus on a Saturday to deliver beds and connect with the families we’re serving. We need people who can help deliver and assemble beds, and people to talk and pray with the families. This time of connection also gives us an opportunity to invite them and their children to visit Thrive Together on Tuesday nights for dinner and classes to help them learn new skills. CarePortal Connection Day is a great serving opportunity for small groups!

We are so grateful for your generosity and commitment CarePortal! These changes will help us to focus on building connections and relationships with the families as we help them find hope in Jesus by meeting their everyday needs.
CarePortal is just one of the ways we support and care for our community. Through our local partnerships, we work with food pantries, assistance organizations, mentoring programs and the Community Blood Center. Visit our Local Outreach page for more information on how you can get involved.
